- How do I choose between a filter cartridge and a filter bag for my dust collector?
- It comes down to space, dust load and temperature. A pleated cartridge packs 3–4× the filter area of a bag into the same footprint and cleans more easily, which suits fine dust and tight collectors. Filter bags cost less upfront and cover the widest temperature range by media choice. For sub-micron dust or strict emissions limits, an e-PTFE membrane cartridge or sintered plate is the right call. Send your collector details and the desk will spec it.
- What filter media handles high temperatures like a steel or cement plant?
- For high-temperature streams: PPS to about 170/190 °C, P84 and glassfibre to 240/260 °C, PTFE to 250/270 °C, and aramid to 190/210 °C — all available with PTFE-membrane, water-and-oil-repellent or anti-static finishing. High-temperature pleated cartridges are stable to 240 °C. The operating temperature has to be read against dust characteristics, humidity and pressure, which the desk does before quoting.
- Can you match filters to my existing baghouse or cartridge collector?
- Yes. Give the cell-plate hole size, the cartridge or bag dimensions, mounting type and flange, and the media you run today. The maker produces to your dimensions — cartridges from Φ120–160 mm, sintered plates up to 1.5 m, flat panels sized to replace imported units — so the replacements seat correctly and perform to spec.
